System Overview

The T-WALL® Retaining Wall System is a precast reinforced concrete modular wall system. The precast T-WALL® units arrive on the construction site ready to be placed into the structure, and are easily handled by equipment that is usually already on-site for other purposes. T-WALL® structures are built by stacking the individual units in rows and columns, and then backfilling around the units with select backfill.

Typical units have a rectangular face and a stem that extends into the earth being retained. The length of the stem is designed to resist the earth pressure on the unit, which increases with the distance from the top of the wall. (As one of our many professional services, The Neel Company provides sealed design calculations and drawings for each T-WALL® structure.) The face of the unit comes in three basic sizes:
  • 2.5 feet high x 5.0 feet wide
  • 5.0 feet high x 5.0 feet wide
  • 5.0 feet high x 7.5 feet wide (well-suited for large projects)

The T-WALL® Retaining Wall System is used in a wide array of applications, from highways and railroads to waterways and site development, and are available in a variety of architectural finishes to compliment the aesthetics of any project.

The T-WALL® Retaining Wall System can easily accomodate other structures that are commonly encountered on construction projects, such as railings, traffic barriers, and drainage pipes.
