Project Description

The T-WALL Retaining Wall System by the Neel Company was used to construct wingwalls for a box culvert located in White Rock, British Columbia – a flood prone area. The new structure allowed for the removal of the existing wooden trestles and provided safe pedestrian access to the local beach.

T-WALL units were delivered to the construction site by rail and then set into place by a maintenance of way crew using a railroad crane. Clamshell backfill for the units was also delivered and unloaded via train and then placed using an excavator. The track remained active throughout construction.
